A few weeks ago there was a national conference on mathematics curriculum in Washington DC. The lead plenary speaker was Jere Confrey, and her talk was essentially about the pros and cons of a national curriculum. The goal of this colloquium is to bring together the mathematics education community – national and international – at UGA to discuss this talk and pros and cons of a national curriculum.
